Teacher & Staff Guide
This guide covers the tools available to teachers and other school staff — what you can see depends on your specific role and the permissions your school administrator has granted you.
Your Dashboard
Your dashboard surfaces what needs your attention: classes you teach, today's attendance status, pending score entry, and any messages or announcements.
Entering Scores
If you teach a subject, you enter scores through that subject's Score Sheet — reached from Class Report Cards by picking your subject and term.
- The score sheet lists every student in the class with a field to tap and enter Continuous Assessment and Examination marks, following exactly the structure your Academic Office has published for that subject/term.
- As you enter a raw score, the app calculates the final weighted grade for you automatically — you never need to work out or type a letter grade yourself.
- A green chip next to a student's name shows their computed grade at a glance; tap a student to open the detailed CA/Exam entry dialog.
- When you're done, tap Save All. Scores for a student already published and fully scored (and where you don't have leadership permissions) are protected from accidental changes.
Note: if a student's row shows a small "?" instead of a grade, their score doesn't fall within any band of the school's currently active grading scale — this is a configuration issue for your School Administrator to fix in Academic Office, not something you can resolve from the score sheet.
Attendance
Mark daily attendance for your class(es) from Class Attendance. If you miss your school's attendance deadline, the system will mark the class automatically based on your school's configured default — clearly labelled as system-generated so it's never mistaken for your own record.
Class Forum & Class Roster
- Class Forum — a discussion space for a class, showing the Class Teacher and Subject Teachers at the top so students always know who's who.
- Class Roster — the full list of teachers and classmates for a class you're associated with, mirroring the Staff Directory.
Staff Directory & Messaging
The Staff Directory lists every staff member at your school with their role, department, and (where they've chosen to share it) a short bio, qualifications, and office hours. Tap a colleague to view their profile or start a direct message, subject to the same relationship rules the school administrator guide describes for messaging.
Your Performance
If your school tracks Teacher Performance, your own dashboard/profile shows metrics such as scoring compliance and attendance-marking punctuality — always based on real, recorded activity, never an estimate. See the Analytics & Metrics Reference guide for exactly what each number means.
Filing a Conduct Case
If you have the relevant permission, you can file a Conduct Centre case against a student or staff member directly from Manage Students/Staff or a person's profile, attaching evidence and choosing the appropriate action.
Staff Letters & Messages
Official letters issued to you (memos, commendations, warnings) and system notifications appear in your Messages inbox alongside your direct conversations.
