Parent Guide

This guide is for parents and guardians using SMIK-Af to stay connected to your child's school life.

Your Dashboard

Your dashboard is built around your child (or children, if you have more than one enrolled). Switch between children if you have more than one linked to your account.

Linking to Your Child

If you weren't linked to your child automatically when your account was created, you can send a Parent Link Request to connect to their record. Your school administrator (or your child's existing linked parent) reviews and approves this before you gain access to their information — this protects student data from being linked to the wrong account.

Report Cards & Attendance

Once your school publishes a term's report card, you'll be notified and can view/download it — every subject grade, attendance summary, conduct rating, and the headteacher's remark. You can also see your child's day-to-day attendance record and academic ranking trend over time.

Payments & Invoices

View invoices raised for your child's fees, see your running account statement (ledger), and get a branded PDF receipt for every payment recorded against your account.

Messaging Teachers

You can message your child's teachers and school leadership directly through the app — no need to visit the school office for routine communication.

Appointments

Request an appointment with a teacher or the school administration through the app; you'll be notified as soon as it's reviewed and accepted or declined.
