Glossary of Terms
Activation Code — A one-time code given to you by your school to set up your account for the first time.
CA (Continuous Assessment) — Scores collected throughout a term (classwork, homework, tests) that contribute a percentage weighting to a student's final subject grade, alongside the Examination score.
Conduct Centre — The school's system for recording and managing student/staff behaviour and discipline cases.
Force Push — An administrator/leadership action that publishes a class's report cards even while some subjects are still awaiting scores from their teachers — those subjects stay open for the remaining teachers.
Grading Scale — The set of score ranges (bands) and corresponding letter/number grades your school uses. Versioned, so a report card always shows the grade it was actually calculated with, even if the scale is edited later.
House — A student grouping used for inter-house competitions and pastoral care, each with a House Master, House Patron, and House Captain.
Learning Support Insight — Automatically generated, supportive observations about a student's academic trend, based only on their own real recorded data.
Promotion Rules — The school-configured criteria (minimum average, subject pass marks, etc.) that decide whether a student is promoted at the end of the year.
Publish — Making a report card, assessment template, or grading scale visible/usable — nothing is visible to students, parents, or teachers until it's published.
Term — An academic term/semester, defined in Academic Office with its own start/end dates and lock status.
Transit (Academic Year Transition) — The formal, rule-based, audited process for promoting every student to their next class at the end of the academic year.
