Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines
Effective and Last Updated: July 15, 2026
1. Purpose
These rules apply to all accounts, forums, chats, comments, reactions, uploads, complaints, profile content, and use of school information on SMIK-Af.
2. Be Safe and Respectful
Treat students, staff, families, and community members with dignity. Do not bully, harass, threaten, stalk, shame, discriminate, sexually exploit, groom, or encourage self-harm or violence. Never request sexual content from a child or share material depicting child abuse.
3. Protect Privacy
Do not expose another person's address, phone number, health information, grades, financial information, live location, credentials, private messages, disciplinary record, or image without lawful authority. Access school information only for assigned duties.
4. Keep the Platform Trustworthy
Do not impersonate others, submit false records, manipulate attendance or grades, cheat, defraud, spam, upload malware, bypass security, scrape data, probe vulnerabilities without written permission, or interfere with service. Report security issues privately to office.smikaf@gmail.com.
5. Lawful Content
Do not upload illegal, infringing, hateful, obscene, deceptive, dangerous, or unauthorised content. Respect copyright, school rules, cultural differences, and the rights of children. Political or religious discussion must not become coercive, discriminatory, or disruptive to the educational purpose.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
Schools ordinarily moderate their communities. SMIK-Af may limit distribution, remove content, preserve evidence, warn users, restrict features, suspend accounts, or refer matters to a school, safeguarding authority, emergency service, regulator, or law enforcement. Action will consider severity, context, age, intent, history, safety, and local law.
7. Reporting and Appeals
Report harmful content through available in-app channels or to the school. Immediate danger should be reported to local emergency services. A person affected by moderation may request review from the school or office.smikaf@gmail.com, unless disclosure or review would create a safety risk or violate law.
8. No Retaliation
Retaliation against a person who makes a good-faith safety, privacy, compliance, or misconduct report is prohibited.
